KCI is a consulting engineering company that is dedicated to contributing to the energy transition and shaping tomorrow by turning challenges into solutions.
We are specialists in fixed offshore structures for the offshore energy market. For this market, we provide consultancy and engineering solutions backed by an international team of experts with a wide range of engineering discipline capabilities.
We support and guide our customers throughout the entire project life cycle, from early phase support and field development to asset commissioning and decommissioning in an environmentally responsible manner. With its back-end engineering skills, and operational support, KCI aims to help customers in all of its markets by offering front-end solutions, such as concept studies and consulting services.

History
Founded in 1984, KCI emerged as a player in the oil & gas industry, originally serving as an in-house engineering contractor for Clyde Petroleum. The company’s ambition and expertise, however soon expanded, leading it to provide services to all oil and gas operators in the North Sea. In 2008, KCI diversified its portfolio by venturing into offshore renewables, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
By becoming part of the Sif group in 2021, KCI strengthened its position in offshore renewables, with in particular WTG foundations. The year 2022 marked another significant milestone for KCI as it entered the offshore green hydrogen sector.
Throughout its history, KCI has maintained a project execution-oriented structure, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery. Recognising the evolving needs of clients, KCI took a strategic step recently by introducing consultancy services, enhancing its ability to support clients with tailored solutions and support with challenges throughout the project life cycle.
